We know that the Holy Spirit is part of the triune person of God. Unfortunately, many are considering God, the Holy Spirit less important than God, the Father and God, the Son. Let's take a deep look the position, personality, purpose and power of God, the Holy Spirit; who He really is and what He does.
All Three are One and all are One of Three.
All Three are equal, eternal, unlimited, uncreated and Almighty. Each have different responsibilities and coexist in perfect unity. All three are as One Person, One God Almighty, without any conflicting division and each in His own essence.
Each One of the Three have certain positions and functions.
God the Father is the source of life and of all good, Jesus Christ is the intercessor between us and Father God. In the Name of Jesus, we ask and receive from the Father and Holy Spirit is fulfilling and bringing into being what we pray for.
God the Holy Spirit in us.
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter which means that He is Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby. He also inspires us to become creative and He is God dwelling in us. All His authority, power, comfort and help are here for us, non-stop; all we have to do is to ask for His help. The Holy Spirit does not force us to receive what He has to offer; He is a perfect gentleman. He is a person who has feelings and emotions, that can be grieved (Ephesians 4:30 "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God...”); When we are truthful or not to God, we are truthful or not to the Holy Spirit. Peter showed how Ananias lied to the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3 "But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit...”).
In times of sorrow and despair, the Holy Spirit can bring about a much faster remedy if we but call on the Lord and asking Him to comfort and heal us. No one can heal a "wounded heart" like the Holy Spirit. No one else knows us better and no one else has His authority and power in the spiritual world, to set us free, heal and restore us. The Holy Spirit is the supreme comforter.
When Jesus came, everything changed for mankind.
In Old Testament times, the earthly dwelling place of God was in the section of the temple called the Holy of Holies or Most Holy Place. Once Jesus came and was crucified for our sins, raised from the dead and ascended to Heaven, God came by sending us “the Holy Spirit.” When a person becomes a true, born again Christian, they become the true embodiment and temple of God, the Holy Spirit.

Jesus was telling the disciples that unless He left, the Holy Spirit could not come. He wanted them to eventually realize that without His sacrifice, resurrection and return to Heaven to sit at right side of the Father, that the Holy Spirit would not be able to come and accomplish the greater work. It is a miracle that the born again person (one who repents of their sins and believes on Jesus to be their Lord and savior) becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit. And this kind of power indwells and equips a Christian to bring others to salvation. People are not going to come to Jesus because we speak beautiful, passionate words or lots of words just right. What happens when God, the Holy Spirit is rejected?
The blasphemy against Holy Spirit starts with fighting against the conviction that He brings in the heart of the sinner. No one can receive the forgiveness of sins and inherit eternal life, if they do not accept the truth as revealed by Holy Spirit; we must to repent and obey. The resistance and denying of the work of Holy Spirit is eternal sin, if the person dies in that state. Why? Because the person is denying the only way to receive forgiveness of personal sins. God does not force anyone to receive salvation. He created man with free will to have the freedom to choose.
I pray that this article encourages your heart with the desire to know Father God and His Son, Jesus Christ even more, through a closer relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God is willing to reveal all that our Heavenly Father has for us.
