HEALING BIBLE VERSES PERSONALIZED FOR BUILDING FAITH AND PRAYER
The purpose of this article is to highlight what the Bible says about sicknesses and God's healing power, so that we will pray the prayer of faith, knowing that in the Name of Jesus we will receive what we are asking for. The only way to renew our minds is by the Word of God. As we change our way of thinking, we are transformed, becoming more and more of what God created us to be and living our lives ruled by the Holy Spirit and not by our carnal nature.
God gave us His Word, so that we may truly know Him and learn to follow Him. The Bibles shows us what He likes and dislikes; what is good and beneficial versus what is bad and harmful. The Bible is the most perfect and detailed model for us to follow. There we find the best counseling as it represents the wisdom and knowledge of God that was inspired by the Holy Spirit to whose who wrote it. If we have no idea about the treasures hidden in the Bible, we can not get all that God has in store for us. How can we ask for or want something that we do not know exists? Personalizing and paraphrasing the Bible verses that refer to our needs (written in italics in this article) helps to strengthen our faith and gives the Holy Spirit the opportunity to make them become more "alive and powerful" (Hebrews 4:12) working in our lives. In this way, the “spiritual blessings of the heavenly places” (Ephesians 1:3), will become real for us in the natural. This spiritual principle is true in all the areas of our lives, including when we need physical, spiritual or emotional healing.
When we pray for healing, sometimes we receive it instantly as the Holy Spirit performs a miracle for us. Other times, it may take a while until we are totally healed, in which case, the healing process may occur as we grow in understanding in our spirits of how much God loves and values us. Our heavenly Father's love for us is beyond measure and is always constant, never changing irregardless of our successes or failures. The more we study God's promises for us, the more real they become. Then we may say as John: “And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:15).
The words that God spoke to Joshua, are also true for us:
If we personalize these verses, we may declare:
I have to choose to be strong and courageous. I am carefully obeying all that God tells me to do. I am not turning to the right or to the left from the directions given in the Bible, so I may prosper in all that I do. I am meditating on God's Word all the time so that I can live accordingly. By doing so, I prosper and I am successful in everything I do, because God is with me.
In addition to studying and obeying the Bible, another key factor in having our prayers answered is having faith when we pray. What does the Bible say that faith is and how can we get it?
Faith comes as we personally truly hear God's Word.
As we hear our own voices proclaiming God's Word, our faith increases. When we have faith in what the Bible says, we start to please God. The more we declare the verses that apply to our situation, the more real they will become to us and will start to transform us and renew our minds. (You may read more about this in the article: “Renewing The Mind.”)
Faith is the assurance of the things hoped for, being the proof of what is not seen and the belief that they are real. My belief considers what I am praying for to be real, something I cannot yet perceive through my physical senses (such as the healing I need).
In order to please God, I have to believe in Him and in what He can and wants to do for me. The more I believe in the Lord and in His plans for me, the more I love Him and the more I desire to seek Him then I know He will reward my efforts.
By believing and studying God's Word on a daily basis, trusting the Lord and His promises for us, it makes it possible to receive all the best that He has for us.
The word “heart” is found many times in the Bible, but not as referring to the physical organ that pumps the blood throughout our bodies. In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word used is “leb” and in the New Testament, the Greek word is “kardia” and both are actually referring to the heart as the mind, character, inner self, will, intention and center of person. In a more detailed way, it means the center and seat of spiritual life, "the soul or mind, as it is the fountain and seat of the thoughts, passions, desires, appetites, affections, purposes and endeavors" according to “Strong's Concordance” and “Thayer's Greek Lexicon.”
The mountain represents any of the serious problems we fight with.
If I will say to this “mountain” (you may replace it with the name of your sickness or problem): “‘Be removed _____ and be cast into the sea,” and I will not doubt in my inner man, but I will believe that what I am declaring will be done and I will have it. I will continue to pray, believing that I have already received what I prayed for and I will have them.
Because my Lord God is full of compassion and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth, I am certain that He will touch and heal me, strengthen me and help me to be victorious through all the hardships I am facing.
What a powerful truth! We all know in our minds that our Lord is like the above verse says, but how much do we really believe it in our hearts, especially in the midst of our trials and tribulations? If we know that we know, that our Lord is full of mercy and compassion, faithful in fulfilling His promises, and that His patience and goodness are so great then we can have a strong foundation for our faith in receiving our healing.
God speaks to the things that do not exist, that He promised will be, as though they are and He brings them into existence. I choose to believe as Abraham did, that what God promised, He will do. I will not focus on the sickness, I will not allow doubt to settle in, but I will concentrate and meditate on what the Bible says that Jesus did for me, when He took all sicknesses upon His body on the cross, He also took the one I am fighting against. I am fully convinced that what God has promised, He is willing and able to perform.
The word translated as “serve” is “abad” in the Hebrew language and it means much more than to serve, it means to perform acts of worship in total obedience to God, that lead to a new lifestyle, where God is one's true lord and no longer one's “self.”
If I will worship, giving all of myself to the Lord, He will bless my food, will take care of my needs and will take away all my sicknesses. I will not die ahead of time, because God will hold me till the end.
All the promises of God are true and I can declare that they will come to pass, for His glory!
You may read more about this subject in the blog: "How do we know that the Old Testament promises are valid for the Gentiles, too?".
The word “griefs” comes from the translation of “choli” in Hebrew and means not only grief, but also: affliction, disease, illness, sickness, malady, anxiety, calamity according to “NAS Exhaustive Concordance” and “Strong's Concordance.”
The word “sorrows” comes from the translation of “makob” in Hebrew and means not only sorrow but also means: pain, suffering, anguish according to “NAS Exhaustive Concordance” and “Strong's Concordance.”
So, we may know that Jesus healed us of every physical, mental and emotional suffering, by the stripes upon His body, while He was beaten and crucified. We may personalize these verses, naming the specific sicknesses or pains we are fighting against. If our Lord carried our issues, then we do not have to carry them any longer. We trust that Jesus already did and we are seeking our healing by faith until we receive it.
Surely, Jesus has taken all my griefs, afflictions, diseases, illnesses, sicknesses, maladies, anxieties, calamities, and carried my sorrows, pains, sufferings, anguish, including (your specific need ___________). Jesus took it upon Him and by His stripes I am healed. I have true peace in Jesus because He paid the price for my sins. Glory to God!
Because Jesus paid for my sins, by the stripes upon His body, while being tortured and crucified, I am dead to sin and I live a clean life for Jesus. In the wounds of my Lord I was healed.
The prophet Isaiah received the prophecy of Jesus' crucifixion, about 700 years “before” the actual event took place, and he related it as healing could take place in the “present tense” form. Then, the apostle Peter later recorded what Jesus did for us “after” it happened and in the “past tense” form. Today, it has been almost 2000 years since Jesus suffered, died and rose again for us. Jesus did it all; He paid the price for every healing we will ever need. All we have to do now, is to realize what Jesus did for us and apply our faith to receive it in the physical realm.
I am blessed, because I delight in God's Law and not in what is ungodly. I am meditating and proclaiming His Word out loud daily, because it has become my nature. I am like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaves do not wither and I will prosper in everything I do.
The devil is the source and the cause of every sickness. He uses sickness to not only kill and destroy, but to get people to stop trusting God.
Because Jesus is the Lord of my life and I am born again, the anointing of the Holy Spirit and God's power are working through me too. Through Jesus who is in my heart, I also do good and because God is with me, He can heal the sick, including me, through my prayers.
Since God has given me the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatever I bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever I loose to happen on earth, will be loosed in heaven. And since sickness does not exist in heaven and is already bound there, I bind (name the sickness ______________) in Jesus' name from my body, because God's Word is true and His kingdom is in my heart!
In Jesus' name we have the power to bind the power of the enemy, who is the source and the author of every sickness and loose heavenly blessings, which include restoration, physical, mental and emotional healing. And additionally, when we get another believer to agree with us in prayer, Jesus says it will be done for us by our Father in heaven.
I am giving attention to God's words; I am inclining my ear, paying attention to His words. I will not let them depart from my eyes; I will keep them in my heart, for they are life and health to all my body.
The Lord God works in me through the unlimited power of the Holy Spirit and that is why I know He can do far more for me than I can ever ask or think.
I am the righteousness of God in Jesus, because Jesus forgave all my sins, so that I can dare ask my heavenly Father to heal me.
Sickness is a weapon of the enemy formed against me. No sickness will prosper in me, working against me, because I am God's child.
I refuse the sickness which is trying to steal my health and destroy me. Thank You Jesus, because You came to bring me life and life more abundantly.
Most translations used the word “power” for the Greek word “exousia.” But this means much more than power, it means the power to act, the authority, according to “Strong's Concordance.” Through Jesus, we have the power to act in His name against all the power of the enemy. Hallelujah! This means that we have authority against every sickness!
Through Jesus Christ I received the authority, the power to act against every single sickness and attack of the devil and nothing can harm me.
In Jesus' name, we have authority in the spiritual world. It is up to us to know this truth and act upon all that we own in Jesus, to fight against every sickness without giving up until we are made whole again.
Jesus is my Lord and I love Him and I keep His Word; Father God also loves me and both of them came to live in my heart. God highly exalted Jesus and gave Him the Name above all names, including over (name the sickness ____________). In Jesus' name, spirit of sickness you must go and I will fight against you until this sickness is completely gone and I am made whole.
I am asking for my healing from Father God, in the Name of my Lord Jesus and I will continue to ask until I receive it, so my joy may be full, as the Lord says.
Through the Holy Spirit I received the power of God and that is all I need to have a dynamic spiritual life, a healthy body and a sound mind. Through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence I own His precious and magnificent promises, by which I may escape the immoral freedom of the world and became a sharer of His divine nature, by living right for Him. That is why I have an abundant life and I will regain complete healing in Jesus.
Because I live for Jesus and He dwells in me, I will destroy any sickness and I command it to flee in Jesus Name.
I am not returning evil for evil, or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, I respond with blessings. God called me to do so, so I may inherit a blessing. My healing is also a blessing from God, and by doing so I may inherit it.
The Hebrew word translated for “peace” is “shalom” which also means completeness, soundness, welfare.
The Word of God does not return void to Him, but accomplishes His will. It prospers however He sends it and because of this, I am living my life with joy, peace, health, completeness, soundness and welfare, and even nature rejoices with me.
Because Jesus said that if I believe, then all things are possible for me. I believe that my healing is a done deal; Jesus already healed all sicknesses including the one I am fighting against __________ by His stripes, while he was beaten and crucified. I have faith and patience, by the Holy Spirit and I know that I have inherited the promises written in the Bible and they are mine.
The Lord God has prepared all spiritual blessings for me, including my healing, in the heavenly places in Christ. Because He loves me, He chose me, before the foundation of the world, that I should be holy and without blame, living pure before Him (hating sin and without sinning intentionally) and in Christ, I am adopted of God and I will not be feeble or sick.
The original term translated as “word” is “dabar” and it means: speech, word (According to “Strong's Concordance”) and the meaning here is: Word of God, as a divine communication in the form of commandments, prophecy, and words of help to his people.
The Lord God has sent all the words of the Bible, not only for the Jews, but to all His born-again children adopted into His family through Jesus Christ, to help us in times of need. Through His Word, God has healed me and He will not let me die until I accomplish the destiny He has planned for me.
The word “salvation” in “Strong's Exhaustive Concordance” is defined from the Hebrew word “yasha” and means: deliverance, health, helping, saving health, welfare.
The Lord is just and He rewards my faith. Because I have made my Lord my dwelling place and my refuge, in any tough situation no evil shall befall me, and no plague shall come near my dwelling.
The Lord is my strength, my life and my salvation. There is none higher than He, so I will not fear anyone, because my Lord is hiding me in His presence from the attack of the evil one. In the Lord I am safe, He is my rock, no matter what I am going through, even if I have to fight against sickness, in the Lord I have the most valuable help and support.
God's love is perfect and there is no fear in His perfect love, therefore I will fear not.
God did not give me a spirit of timidity, cowardice or fear, but He has given me a spirit of power, of love, of sound judgment and the abilities that empower me to have a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control. So I refuse any fear as I trust in my God for complete healing and restoration for my body, in Jesus Name.
Because I live in obedience to God and am submitting this situation to Him, I can resist the attacks and the lies of the enemy and I know he has to run from me.
The Lord is a strong, eternal rock, I can count on Him. As long as my heart is fully His and I trust Him, the Lord God will hold me in perfect peace. I will trust my Lord forever, because in Him I have everlasting strength.
Zephaniah 3:17 (NTLR) The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
The Lord is living in me, He will heal and save me from any evil. The Lord will comfort me with His perfect love, He will sing over me with joy.
Matthew 12:36-37 “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
It really matters what we declare and speak. The spoken word (rhema) is very powerful. If our words confess sickness, doubt, lack of hope or fear, then we “open the door” to the enemy to give us what we have spoken. But if we declare our trust in God and His healing power, then we “open the door” for the Holy Spirit to help us with the healing and restoration we need.
Because I will be accountable for every idle word that I speak in the day of judgment, please help me Lord, to speak only what is useful and brings edification to myself and others, so that You can bless me and I will not be condemned. Thank You Lord God for the chance to repent and be forgiven through the blood of Jesus!
Proverbs 6:2 You are snared by the words of your mouth; you are taken by the words of your mouth.”
Psalms 141:3 Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips.
1 Peter 3:10 For he who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.
The devil tries to snare me by the words of my mouth; I will take care in regard to all that I speak about the sickness that I am fighting and my future, because it may hinder me, so please Holy Spirit help me to guard my heart and mouth from doing any wrong and from speaking any words that may keep me being sick. By doing so I will see good days and live in a healthy body.
I will guard my mouth so that my speech agrees with what God's Word says and not the thoughts that come from the devil. I will speak words that only build up and are truthful.
The usage of the words “completely developed” in the above verse is explained in “Strong's Exhaustive Concordance” as complete in every part, entire, whole.
The various trials that I face, including the sicknesses are tests of my faith. I rejoice because God will answer my faith with His healing and at the same time, He is teaching me how to be patient and to not doubt that He will heal me. By doing so, I will be perfect, complete in every part, made whole and will lack nothing; by patience and faith I will endure all life's trials and temptations and I will receive the crown of life the Lord has for me.
I will continue to do good, even if I get tired. I will “feed” my inner man every day with God's Word and I will rest in Jesus, so I won't faint and at the right time, I will reap the fruit of my good works, including the healing of any sickness.
If I confess my sins, God is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse me from all unrighteousness, that may be the cause of the sickness. After the cause of the sickness is removed, the sickness will have to leave and I will be healed.
Because I choose to bless God with all my heart, to keep His commands and to have a thankful heart towards Him, God will forgive my iniquities, He will heal all my sicknesses, He will redeem my life from destruction and He will crown me with His loving kindness and tender mercies.
Because I am God's child, and I am one of His people, I will have greater blessings than any other people and God will remove any sickness from me, including infertility.
The Spirit of Lord God who raised Jesus from the dead, dwells in me, therefore God will give life (healing and restoration) to my mortal body, through His Spirit who lives in me.
I overcame the enemy and the sicknesses he attacked me with, by the blood of Jesus, by the word of my testimony about Jesus and by not loving my life to death. Every time I take Communion, I confess His sacrifice on the cross and I break the power of sickness over my body which results into an ongoing healing process.
The healing is a good thing that I am asking from God, and if I live to please Him, He will give me His grace and glory and the healing that I am asking for.
Because Jesus Christ, who dwells in me is greater than he who is in the world and the author of sickness, I am healed in Jesus Name.
I choose to forgive people their wrongs against me and I refuse to keep records against them or have hard feelings. Therefore, my heavenly Father can forgive me too. If I don't forgive others, my heavenly Father cannot forgive me and I will not receive my healing and miss heaven too.
Forgiveness is a must. It is not an emotion, it is a decision. It is not based on whether or not the one who wronged us deserves to be forgiven or even if they are repentant. God's grace has been given to us and we must give it to others. This does not mean that we should let them keep violating us or trust them. We must protect ourselves and trust has to be earned.
More about forgiveness may read here: “Forgiveness: Why Does Jesus Command Us to Forgive?”.
Because I trust in God, my strength is being renewed, I will rise above these situation with wings like eagles; I will run and not be weary, I will have the strength to do all that I need to do and not become exhausted. Being sick makes me weak, but by faith in the Lord, I will receive healing, strength and endurance.
I am blessed because I believe before I see! Because I choose to believe that I will be healed, before having the physical signs of my healing, I will be made whole again.
The Lord does unto me according to my faith. My faith allows the Lord to work healing, restore my eyesight and all the functions of my body that are not performing right and make me whole again.
I receive all benefits that God does for me, including my salvation and the healing of all sicknesses. I will grow in intimacy with Father God and Jesus Christ and get to know them more and more.
I am becoming more and more like Jesus, as He is the one I spend time with. By growing in intimacy with my Lord, I am being transformed. I will occupy my mind with all that Paul listed in the above verses, my mind will be renewed and I will have a new mindset, pushing aside all that is negative and evil, including any sickness. As I stop focusing on the sickness and it's bad effects, the enemy's power to hurt me is diminished and I am allowing the Holy Spirit to work His healing and restoration in me.
In heaven, there is no sickness and we ask for God's kingdom to come and for His will to be done here and in us. We know that God's will is for us to be healed and because nothing can stop God's will and I know that He has heard me when I prayed according to His will, I know that sickness has to go and that I have my healing.
You may read more in the blog: "Healing is God's Will."
Jesus Christ healed all the sick that He came in contact with and He says that those who believe in Him will do the works that He did and even greater works, because He sits at the right hand of the Father and through the Holy Spirit, He is living in us too. So, I am also healed by my faith in Jesus Christ.
If I obey God's voice and I carefully observe all His commands, God will set me up high. All the blessings will come upon me and will overwhelm me because I am obeying God's voice. The Lord God has already taken care of all that is needed to defeat my enemies (including sickness) and they have no more power against me, so that I will be healed.
Sickness cannot defeat me, it is an opportunity for me to glorify God as I am healed by Him.
Because I hate sin and truly desire to live a pure life that pleases God, sickness cannot defeat me. Even in old age I will have God's strength and I will live a fruitful life, being capable to work and take care of myself all the days that I live.
I am not afraid of any sickness or any attack of the enemy because the Lord God fights for me and this means that my victory is secured in Him.
Lord, please help me be long suffering, kind, to not envy, to not be prideful or rude, to not seek my own way, to not provoke others and never think evil or rejoice in iniquity, to not be angry, but to rejoice in the truth, to be able to bear all things, believe, hope and endure all things. This will make me behave as your perfect love does. And Your “agape” love transforms me and will save me, keeping me healthy and alive forever in heaven.
Whether we receive a healing miracle by prayer, or we are healed with the help of the doctors and medicine, God is worthy of all our praise for making us whole again. Without His help, no pill, procedure or treatment can “repair” us. Many doctors admit that no matter how much they try, they still can't be sure of the final result without God's help. We have all heard of many cases when medicine and science have failed and people have died, while others were healed with the same treatment.
Most of the time, we are clueless about what is going on in the spiritual world and that is one reason we do not receive faster answers to our prayers, including those regarding healing. But one thing we know for sure is that those who have Jesus as our Lord and Savior, are His sheep, we hear His voice and as long as we want to belong to Him, no one can snatch us from His hand and or the Father's. To snatch something being held, it takes strength and determination, because there is opposition not letting it go. This means that our Lord does not want to let us go. He fights to hold us and we are safe there! But, He is not holding us by force, because He has given us free will.
By proclaiming the promises that God has given us in the Bible, our faith is strengthened and we learn to better identify the lies of the enemy who tries to make us doubt God's power and believe that we do not deserve to receive anything good from God or to be healed. WE have the “sword of the Spirit” which is the “Word of God” to use against the attacks of the enemy and be victorious.
In conclusion, when we feel any symptoms of sickness, we need to come in prayer to the mercy seat of God and by proclaiming what the Bible says, we ask God to heal us in Jesus' name. If for some reason, God decides not to give us an instant healing, and we see no improvement of the situation, we may need to seek medical help, as the Lord directs us. Whichever the case, it is always easier to get our healing, if we “know that we know” that healing is “God's will” and that Jesus on the cross, took upon His body all our sicknesses and by His stripes we were healed. Glory to our Lord Jesus for all the pain and suffering He endured in our place, paying for our sins and healing every sickness.
God gave us His Word, so that we may truly know Him and learn to follow Him. The Bibles shows us what He likes and dislikes; what is good and beneficial versus what is bad and harmful. Then we may say as John: “And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:15).
The words that God spoke to Joshua, are also true for us:
- Joshua 1:7-8 “Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
- Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is the assurance of the things hoped for, being the proof of what is not seen and the belief that they are real. My belief considers what I am praying for to be real, something I cannot yet perceive through my physical senses (such as the healing I need).
- Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
- Mark 11:23-24 "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."
- Psalms 86:15 But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.
- “Romans 4:17-21 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed--God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
- Exodus 23:25-26 “So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”
- 2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
All the promises of God are true and I can declare that they will come to pass, for His glory!
You may read more about this subject in the blog: "How do we know that the Old Testament promises are valid for the Gentiles, too?".
- Isaiah 53:4-5 “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
- 1 Peter 2:24 ... who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.
- Psalms 1:1-3 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
- Acts 10:38 “... how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
- Matthew 16:19 “And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
- Matthew 18:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”
- Luke 17:21 (AMP) “...For the kingdom of God is among you [because of My presence]."
- Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.
I am giving attention to God's words; I am inclining my ear, paying attention to His words. I will not let them depart from my eyes; I will keep them in my heart, for they are life and health to all my body.
- Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us...
The Lord God works in me through the unlimited power of the Holy Spirit and that is why I know He can do far more for me than I can ever ask or think.
- 2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
I am the righteousness of God in Jesus, because Jesus forgave all my sins, so that I can dare ask my heavenly Father to heal me.
- Isaiah 54:17a “No weapon formed against you shall prosper...”
Sickness is a weapon of the enemy formed against me. No sickness will prosper in me, working against me, because I am God's child.
- John 10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I [Jesus] have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
I refuse the sickness which is trying to steal my health and destroy me. Thank You Jesus, because You came to bring me life and life more abundantly.
- Luke 10:19 (AMP) "Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.”
- Philippians 2:9-10 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him [Jesus] and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth...
- John 14:23b “...If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”
- John 16:23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”
I am asking for my healing from Father God, in the Name of my Lord Jesus and I will continue to ask until I receive it, so my joy may be full, as the Lord says.
- 2 Peter 1:3-4 (AMP) For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value], so that by them you may escape from the immoral freedom that is in the world because of disreputable desire, and become sharers of the divine nature.
- 1 John 3:8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
Because I live for Jesus and He dwells in me, I will destroy any sickness and I command it to flee in Jesus Name.
- 1 Peter 3:9 ... not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
I am not returning evil for evil, or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, I respond with blessings. God called me to do so, so I may inherit a blessing. My healing is also a blessing from God, and by doing so I may inherit it.
- Isaiah 55:10-12 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”
- Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
- Hebrews 6:12 ... through faith and patience inherit the promises.
- Ephesians 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will...
- Psalms 105:37 ... and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
- Psalms 107:20 (NKJV) He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
- Psalms 107:20 (JPS Tanakh 1917) He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves.”
- Psalms 91:9-10 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling...
- Psalms 91:16 (Jubilee Bible 2000) With long life I will satisfy him and show him my saving health.
- Psalms 27:1, 5 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? ... For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
- 1 John 4:17, 18 Love has been perfected among us in this... There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear...
God's love is perfect and there is no fear in His perfect love, therefore I will fear not.
- 2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].
- James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Because I live in obedience to God and am submitting this situation to Him, I can resist the attacks and the lies of the enemy and I know he has to run from me.
- Isaiah 26:3-4 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength.
- James 1:2-4, 12 (Amp) Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing. ...Blessed is the man who endures temptations; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
- Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
I will continue to do good, even if I get tired. I will “feed” my inner man every day with God's Word and I will rest in Jesus, so I won't faint and at the right time, I will reap the fruit of my good works, including the healing of any sickness.
- 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If I confess my sins, God is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse me from all unrighteousness, that may be the cause of the sickness. After the cause of the sickness is removed, the sickness will have to leave and I will be healed.
- Psalms 103:2-4a Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies...
Because I choose to bless God with all my heart, to keep His commands and to have a thankful heart towards Him, God will forgive my iniquities, He will heal all my sicknesses, He will redeem my life from destruction and He will crown me with His loving kindness and tender mercies.
- Deuteronomy 7:14-15 “You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock. And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known...”
Because I am God's child, and I am one of His people, I will have greater blessings than any other people and God will remove any sickness from me, including infertility.
- Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
The Spirit of Lord God who raised Jesus from the dead, dwells in me, therefore God will give life (healing and restoration) to my mortal body, through His Spirit who lives in me.
- Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
- Psalms 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
The healing is a good thing that I am asking from God, and if I live to please Him, He will give me His grace and glory and the healing that I am asking for.
- 1 John 4:4 ... He [Jesus] who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Because Jesus Christ, who dwells in me is greater than he who is in the world and the author of sickness, I am healed in Jesus Name.
- Matthew 6:14-15 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
- Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Because I trust in God, my strength is being renewed, I will rise above these situation with wings like eagles; I will run and not be weary, I will have the strength to do all that I need to do and not become exhausted. Being sick makes me weak, but by faith in the Lord, I will receive healing, strength and endurance.
- John 20:29 Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
I am blessed because I believe before I see! Because I choose to believe that I will be healed, before having the physical signs of my healing, I will be made whole again.
- Matthew 9:27-30 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith let it be to you." And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, "See that no one knows it.”
The Lord does unto me according to my faith. My faith allows the Lord to work healing, restore my eyesight and all the functions of my body that are not performing right and make me whole again.
- John 17:3 "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."
I receive all benefits that God does for me, including my salvation and the healing of all sicknesses. I will grow in intimacy with Father God and Jesus Christ and get to know them more and more.
- Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
- 1 John 5:14-15 This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, [that is, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us. And if we know [for a fact, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we [also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him.
- Matthew 6:10 “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
- John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”
Jesus Christ healed all the sick that He came in contact with and He says that those who believe in Him will do the works that He did and even greater works, because He sits at the right hand of the Father and through the Holy Spirit, He is living in us too. So, I am also healed by my faith in Jesus Christ.
- Deuteronomy 28:1-2, 7 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God... The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”
- Psalms 118:7 The Lord is for me among those who help me; therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.
Sickness cannot defeat me, it is an opportunity for me to glorify God as I am healed by Him.
- Psalms 92:12-14 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing...
Because I hate sin and truly desire to live a pure life that pleases God, sickness cannot defeat me. Even in old age I will have God's strength and I will live a fruitful life, being capable to work and take care of myself all the days that I live.
- Deuteronomy 3:22 “You must not fear them, for the Lord your God Himself fights for you.”
I am not afraid of any sickness or any attack of the enemy because the Lord God fights for me and this means that my victory is secured in Him.
- 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
- John 10:27-29 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.”
