GOD MEETS OUR NEEDS IF WE LOVE HIM
- And God will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you. - Deuteronomy 7:13
God’s promises for His children, who obey His Word, are above all that we can imagine. Receiving God’s love is the best thing that can happen to us! We are blessed when God gives us way more than enough, so that we may bless others in return. Children are God’s blessing, as all fruit is a result of God’s love and care. Whatever the Lord blesses, He multiplies. The food blessed by the Lord is nutritious, has no side effects on our health and provides all that our bodies need to function properly.
God’s promises supply all the essentials for a healthy dietary life, when consumed in balance. God reminded His people, through Moses, that they were to receive all the blessings in the earthly promised land. Whenever we ask God to lead our steps and we follow His direction, living where God wants us to live, we will receive His promises in all the areas of our lives. These promises apply to all of us if we put God first in our lives.
We bless God when we worship and obey Him out of love, not of fear or self interest. When God blesses us, we benefit of His absolute goodness and gifts. Even if we go through tough times in life, if we continue to live according to His principles and give unto the Lord the tithes from our income, He will bless the ninety percent left, and it will last longer than the whole amount would have lasted. Then, in God’s timing, we will reap a good harvest.
Suggested prayer: Thank You Father for all the blessings you have already given me and for what You still have in store! It is such a joy to know Your will, obey it and be covered by Your love and care. Because of Your love and goodness, I can be a giver too! Thank You Lord that as I follow Your directions, I will never be in lack, but I always have more than enough! Life with You is the only life I want to live. Please help me to worship and adore You every day of my life! Amen.

GOD PROTECTS OUR STEPS, BECAUSE WE ARE HIS CHILDREN
- He guards the feet of His godly (faithful) ones, but the wicked ones are silenced and perish in darkness; for a man shall not prevail by might. - 1 Samuel 2:9 (AMP)
God protects the feet of His faithful children. This is such an amazing and encouraging promise! To know that it does not matter how bad it looks in the natural, if we choose to follow God’s advice, go where He wants us to go and do what He wants us to do, the Lord God almighty guards our steps! He takes care of us and prevents evil attacks against us! He never allows anything bad in our lives that He cannot use for our good in the long term! Glory and honor to our Lord!
Even if for a while it seems that the wicked people prosper and can hurt us as much as they want, it is not forever and if they do not sincerely repent, it will cost them dearly here and for eternity. As the apostle Paul recorded in 2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” Our victory is not by force and not by might. The true, final, everlasting victory comes by the Holy Spirit, as the Lord says in Zechariah 4:6.
Suggested prayer: Dear Father, Thank You so much for protecting my steps and my ways! Please help me to never turn in the wrong direction, but always follow You closely so that I will always be in Your will and under the protection of Your wings! Please touch those who try to hurt me, so they may know You, repent and renounce of their evil ways, so that they will stop hurting me and others and not end up in hell for eternity. Thank You so much for Your Holy Spirit and for the victory I have in Jesus because of the new birth in Christ' Name! Praises, glory and honor to Your holy Name, dear Lord! Amen.

WE ARE HAPPY, WHEN WE OBEY GOD
- You shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, so that it may be well with you and that you may go in and possess the good land which the Lord swore to your fathers - Deuteronomy 6:18
God promises us such amazing blessings in His Word and all He is asking from us is to “do what is right and good” in His sight. By doing what is right, we are empowering God to work in our behalf, bless, protect, and make His wonderful plan for our lives to come to pass. When we do the opposite, we hurt ourselves, as we empower the powers of darkness to attack and destroy us.
Our welfare depends on our obedience. Even when the wrong decisions of those around us are affecting us, as long as we remain in the palm of God’s hand, He will turn all the bad into something beneficial, even if it takes a while. The only way we truly change and become more like Christ is by going through hardships. When things go well, our carnal nature wants to take over and make us prideful. We are tempted to believe that we can do it all, and we can make it on our own without God’s help. We can hurt ourselves by being prideful, without any help from the enemy. Only by living an obedient life, loving God and pleasing Him, can we enter in the possession of all that God has prepared for us to have. The happier life for each of us is the one that God planned for us, ahead of time. The more we follow God’s plan, the more fulfilled and happier we are!
Suggested prayer: Oh Lord, how can I ever thank You for all the blessings You prepared for me! I am so sorry for all the times I did things my way and sinned against You. I know that much of my pain and sorrows have come from my own doings. Please help me hear Your direction more clearly and follow Your lead, even when it does not seem logical in the natural. I have learned that in those times You shine the most and prove Your power and might! Thank You for all the miracles, love, and care that You have already given me and that You will continue to bless me with! In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen!

LIFE IS THE EASIEST WHEN IS LIVED WITH GOD
- It is vain for you to rise up early, to retire late, to eat the bread of painful labors; for He gives to His beloved even in his sleep. - Psalms 127:2
Most of us have had seasons in our lives when it seemed that nothing would ever work out and that things would never get better. But praise God, we were wrong! It was in those times that we learned the most valuable lessons. Those times made us realize that no matter how hard a person tries, if one is not following Jesus closely and not “yoked up with Him,” life can be very hard, with difficult labor and producing little or no reward.
Jesus wants to do the hard part in our place, and He is more than able to do so. Receiving His help through the Holy Spirit, our perfect Helper, is all we need as beloved children of God.
God loves all people, but those who do not love Him too, miss out on the most important benefits of His love. When we live with God and do everything unto Him, giving Him all the glory for all that is good in us and in our lives, the Lord pours out His blessings into our lives. Our work seems easy when we are full of God’s love, peace, and joy.
What a blessing it is to follow God, study His Word, know His will, understand more of who He truly is and what He has in store for us and be in constant communion with Him in prayer and worship!
Suggested prayer: Oh Lord, it is so true that as long as I love and obey You, my work seems easier and more pleasant! My life is constantly improving as I get closer to You and know You and Your will more! There is nothing that can compare to having You as Lord, Father, best friend, and companion, all the time. Thank You so very much for all You did for me and all You constantly bless me with! Glory and honor to Your Holy Name forever and ever, amen.

GOD’S LOVE AND MERCY DO NOT CHANGE ACCORDING TO CIRCUMSTANCES
- “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, nor will My covenant of peace be shaken,” says the Lord who has compassion on you.” - Isaiah 54:10
The modern technology that God allowed mankind to discover, has ways to remove and shake mountains and hills, but while Isaiah lived and received these words from God, this was an impossibility! Even today these are hard and very costly tasks to accomplish. But no matter how easy it would ever be, God says that His “lovingkindness will not be removed from” us.
God also promises us to not be at war with us His children! Through Jesus, we the Gentiles are adopted into God’s people, are also God’s blessed children, and this promise is for us too. And it is not only that His mercy will not be removed from us, but God has also reinforced it by saying again that He has compassion for us! We are so blessed!
Suggested prayer: My beloved Father, I am so blessed to be Your child! I find so much comfort and strength in knowing that You understand what I am going through and what I am struggling with, and that You have such mercy on me! Nothing can remove Your love and loving-kindness from me, and I know that if I keep a pure heart, I will always benefit from all the good You have prepared for me! Please help me keep You first in every area of my life and always live to please You! In the Name of Jesus, amen.

GOD TRULY REJOICES OVER HIS CHILDREN
- The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing. - Zephaniah 3:17 (AMP Classic Edition)
What wonderful words, and we have an even better covenant than the Jewish people had! God is not only in our midst, but He is also in our hearts! If Jesus is truly our Lord, He is also our Savior. He did all that it takes for our sins to be paid in full and for us to have His righteousness!
To know that God “rejoices over us with joy” is way beyond our understanding. This explains why God paid such a huge price for our salvation through His Son and continues to suffer for us until all the evil will be put under Jesus’ feet. It is so wonderful to know that God will rest and not mention our past sins, or even recall them, because of His perfect, amazing love for all of us who have repented and follow Jesus!
If all that we have already read is not amazing enough, we should certainly be stunned by the last part of this verse. To know that the Lord God Almighty will “exalt over us with singing” tops it all! A happy, joyful heart sings! Whether people sing beautifully or cannot even ‘carry a tune in a paper bag,’ when people are happy, they sing! We all know this is the way humans act, but to learn that God sings out of His joy for us, is something else! I do not know what this mean to you, but it certainly blesses me beyond measure! Glory to God!
Suggested prayer: Dear Lord, I am still learning how great Your love is! Thank You for revealing Your love through Your Word! You love me so much that You even rejoice over me! Oh, how I long to rejoice with You! To be that close to You, that nothing can ever hinder the love You generously pour over me on a daily basis! Your will for me is to make it to heaven and spend eternity with You! Please help me to remain true to You always and be Yours forever! In the Name of Jesus, amen.

GOD’S WORD IS PERFECT, TRUE AND FULL OF WISDOM
- The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. - Psalms 19:7
The Law of the Lord or Torah, contains the first five books of the Old Testament (also called the Pentateuch), given by the Lord to His people, through Moses. The Law makes us aware of sin and its content is perfect. We are not under the Law anymore, but under grace, as Jesus paid for our sins. This does not mean that we should not pay attention to what the Law says. Its commandments are still real and true for us, too. Through the Law we know what upsets our Lord and what we should stay away from.
The word for “law” is “tôrah” in Hebrew and it means “instructions, teachings, doctrine.” Its instructions about how to follow God are complete and are like good food for a the hungry; it is refreshing and invigorating the soul of the ones who study, believe and obey it. We do not obey the Law to earn our salvation, but because we are saved by grace and we are born-again, we choose to obey its commandments and not sin. The Law is a guide that leads us on the path of the Lord. The Law is also God’s testimony, as it is bearing witness to His will and man’s duty and it is not uncertain or variable. The study of the Law brings wisdom to everyone who does it. In the book of Proverbs, the simple man is the one who does not reject God’s will, but has no strong principles to fight against temptations and needs to be made wise.
The Law was fulfilled by Jesus, because He was the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. We are not obeying its commands to earn salvation, but because we love God and want to please Him and not sin.
Suggested prayer: Dear Lord please help me pay attention to Your Law and Word to understand Your perfect will and obey it. Knowing what You like, refreshes my soul and gives me the confidence that I can live right for You. Dear Lord please show me what else I need to change in me and help me do it, so that I will have all it takes to be right-standing with You. There is so much wisdom in Your Word, Lord, please help me grasp more and more of it. Thank You and praise You for ever and ever, amen.

WE FIND JOY, LIGHT AND SATISFACTION IN OBEYING GOD’S WILL
- The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes - Psalms 19:8
God’s decrees or precepts are straight, correct and bring joy to the heart of the believer. God gave them to us for our own good. Moses recorded this in a few places, including in Deuteronomy 4:40a, “you shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”
As long as we live for God, obeying His will, all goes well for us, we find true lasting happiness and we receive the blessings of God over our lives and our children’s lives, too.
We cannot follow or obey what we do not know. But once we learn it, we know that it is good for us and it pleases God, why would we not obey it? There is wisdom in doing what is right in God’s eyes. Our spiritual eyes are enlightened by God’s Word, and the more we understand its purpose and blessing, the easier we obey it.
Suggested prayer: Father God, Your Word is so powerful, so full of wisdom and it has all the instructions I need to live a pure, blessed life. By learning Your teachings and applying them, my heart rejoices and my wisdom increases. Your will is what is best for me and by living in obedience I have true happiness and all I need for all to go well for me and my family. Thank You and praise You forever and ever, amen.

THE HOLY SPIRIT REVEALS GOD’S TRUTH TO US
- “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.” - John16:14-15
Because the Holy Spirit is in us, when we need guidance or help, we can always ask for His assistance. The Holy Spirit does not force His help on us. He is the best Helper, Counselor, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, and Comforter we could ever want or need and is always here for us.
The Holy Spirit will always praise and glorify Jesus and Father God. He will never put them down or praise Himself. The Holy Spirit helps us to communicate with the Lord and tells us what Our Lord wants us to know.
Suggested prayer: Dear Lord, Thank You so much for sending the Holy Spirit! Please help me never forget that the Holy Spirit wants to communicate with me and to teach and guide me into all Your truth! Thank You Holy Spirit, for giving me all the help I need in hard times, all the comfort while I am in pain, all the strength when I feel weak and all the counsel when I do not know what to do. My life is so much better since I have learned to ask for Your help and counsel. Thank You Lord Jesus, for everything You have done for me and for sending the Holy Spirit, amen.

THE LORD CORRECTS US IN LOVE
- Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” - Mark 10:21
Jesus looked at the young rich man and loved him. We all need to see love in our Lord’s eyes, when He looks at us. I have heard great testimonies of people who had the favor to see our Lord’s eyes as He revealed Himself to them in visions or dreams. They all have testified that they never saw such great love or felt so loved in any other circumstances, and that is what the Bible says too. Our Lord had to correct the young man and He did it in great love. That is how our Lord operates. He is love itself! What do we trust the most? The financial stability we have, or God’s provision? This is a tough question. It is easy to trust God while there is still money in the bank and we have our worldly possessions, than if we had nothing.
The rich man, did all the exterior works, obeying the Law to the letter, but he was not fully surrendered to the Lord. True giving, with a good heart collects treasure in heaven for the giver. We have to give it all to Jesus, deny ourselves, pick up our crosses and admit that we have to put our carnal nature to death and only then we can truly follow Jesus.
Suggested prayer: Dear Lord, please help me to give it all to You and trust You no matter what. Thank You so much for Your love and care and for having so much patience with me. Please help me care more for the treasures in heaven than for earthly things and to love Jesus with all I am and have, to be able to crucify my flesh daily and follow Him! Thank You Lord, amen.

ONLY KNOWING THE TRUTH SETS US FREE
- "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:31b-32
Abiding in God’s Word does not mean to read it from time to time and then forget what we read. The dictionary defines the verb “to abide” as “to accept or act in accordance with.” In John 15:4a, Jesus tells us: “abide in Me, and I in you...” We truly abide in Jesus, only when we live right, according to God’s will. He is the vine and we are His branches. By abiding in Him we become one with Him, we get our strength and all we need from Him.
Jesus is the Word “and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us...” (John 1:14a). We remain in Jesus and He remains in us when we constantly meditate on His Word, we ask the Holy Spirit to help us understand and apply it in our daily lives allowing it to change and transform us. What we meditate on or allow to occupy our minds will define our mindsets. The way we think defines our emotions, then what we speak, what preoccupies us and in the end forms our character.
Jesus tells us that by remaining in His Word we truly learn from Him and by doing so we grow in knowing the truth and we will be truly free. It is not enough to merely hear the truth or about Jesus, to be delivered from all bondage. We need to truly know Him, understand who He truly is and who we are in Him. This is true freedom!
Suggested prayer: Praises and glory to Your holy Name, dear Jesus! In You I find my strength, peace, joy and true liberty! Since You are my Lord, the more I know You and what Your Words really mean, I become more and more free. Your truth is so powerful and overcomes all the lies of the enemy. By knowing and applying it, I can live the abundant life You have for me, even when circumstances are not in my favor. Lord please help me study the Word more every day, understand it to a deeper level and apply it in all I think, feel, say and do. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.

"GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON"
Are we truly aware of the greatness of God’s love for the world? Do we really understand how much Father God and His Son, sacrificed to save us all? “Thayer's Greek Lexicon” explains the original word “kosmos” that is translated “world” as it is used in the above verses as: “the world, the universe, particularly the inhabitants of the earth, men, the human race.” So Jesus did not die for the universe, but for the people of the physical world. This earth and universe will be destroyed and there will be a new earth and heavens for eternity. But humans will either live forever or will be damned for all eternity. The saved ones will be with God, living forever, and those who rejected Jesus and His salvation, will be spiritually dead, as they will be separated from God, damned and suffering forever.
At His first coming, Jesus did not come to judge the world! He first came to save it! He suffered tremendous torture and physically died, paying for our sins, so that we may live and be with Him forever.
Salvation is a personal choice. Jesus will never force anyone to become His. If you never made a real decision to follow Jesus, you may ask Him now to become Your Lord and forgive your sins.
Suggested prayer: Thank You so very much dear Father for sending Your Son to redeem us. Because Jesus died in my place, I invited Him to be the Lord of my life and live for Him, I will not perish, but will have eternal life. I am so sorry dear Lord for all my sins that caused Your pain and death on the cross. Thank You Holy Spirit so very much for convicting me of sin and giving me a new birth through which I can live for Jesus. Glory and honor to Your Holy Name, Lord Jesus for redeeming me and giving me a glorious hope and future. Amen.
- “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” - John 3:16-17

ALL THE BIBLE IS INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT TO TEACH US HOW TO LIVE FOR THE LORD
- All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
What is the Scripture? It is a library of 66 books, written through 40 authors. God influenced the authors of the books in such a way that they recorded what God spoke to them through the Holy Spirit. All these books were written over a period of approximately 1500 years, and only if all authors were inspired by the Holy Spirit in their writings, this could there be such a harmonious and true book. The historical events, God’s character and will, what the Lord expects from His children, all future prophecies are 100% true and they do not contradict each other! All prophecies that should take place, were fulfilled and there is no other book with such content in this world! There is so much to say on this subject, but here is not the place for it.
So, we know that because it is God’s inspired Word, we can trust the Bible and obey it. All throughout history, we have numerous examples of people who obeyed God, were miraculously used by Him and lived blessed lives. It is truly a profitable doctrine, that shows us what we do wrong and what we still need to change in ourselves, teaching us how to be in right standing with God.
By studying and meditating on God’s Word we can become complete and fully equipped to be able to do what God called us to do and live a blessed life. The more we meditate on God’s Word and spend time in His presence, the more we change and the happier we are!
Suggested prayer: Thank You so very much dear Lord for Your written Word! Thank You so much that it has all the teachings, wisdom, clarity and knowledge I need to live right for You. In Scriptures I find all the truth I need to know for living a blessed life. I am so blessed that I have Your instruction manual for life, that has all the information I need to be able to make the right decisions on a daily basis. Through Your Word I can become complete and fully equipped for accomplishing the plan You have for my life. Lord please help me to understand the deep meaning of Your Word with the help of the Holy Spirit and to apply it in my daily walk with You. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.

GOD’S WORD HAS CREATIVE POWER
- “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” - Isaiah 55:11
Everything that God speaks has creative power. In the beginning He spoke the whole universe into existence. In Genesis 1, we read many times that “God said... and it was so.” But when He created man, He used His hands. “God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being” (Genesis 2:7). Then He used Adam’s rib to form Eve. From the beginning, God treated mankind special, as the crown of His creation.
Words have creative power for good or bad. It is greatly beneficial to learn to use our words for good, as God does. When God speaks a blessing over us, it comes into fruition. When we speak what God’s Word says over a situation that we are in, we allow it to come to pass. We are to learn to see the positive in every matter, focus on it and speak it! God says that none of His words are in vain and will always accomplish whatever the purpose He sends them for. Glory to God!
What we speak is the result of what we think. To be able to change the way we speak, we need to change the way we think. It sure helps to pray as David did: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my [firm, impenetrable] Rock and my Redeemer” (Psalm 19:14, AMP Classic edition)
Suggested prayer: Father God, please help me understand the power of Your Word and of my spoken words too. I praise You that all You say it comes to pass. It is enough for You to say a word for things to come into existence. Please help me to renew my mind, through Your Word and control my mouth and the words I speak so they will be in one accord with Your Word, blessing me and those around me! Thank You from the bottom of my heart for Your Word, which prospers all the things You send it to. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.

THE ETERNAL LIFE IS TO KNOW FATHER GOD AND HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST
- “As You have given Him (Your Son, Jesus) authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” - John 17:2-3
Before His crucifixion, Jesus prayed for Himself and His disciples as a High Priest would intercede for his people. What a mighty prayer! Jesus received all authority from His Father. While He lived in a human body He never sinned. That is why He could die in our place, paying the penalty for our sins, to give eternal life to all of us who accept Him as Lord and follow Him until the very end.
What does eternal life mean? Jesus tells us that it means to personally know, perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand who the real and true God is and His Anointed Son, the Messiah, Jesus Christ, that Father God sent into the world. And if we truly want to live a holy life, we can get to know God in studying and meditating on His Word with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Suggested prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You so very much for all Your love and sacrifice! Because of You, I may inherit eternal life. You are the Son of God and You are also the Word and the truth, the way and the life! You have all authority on earth and heaven. The more I get to know You, the closer I am to heaven. Please help me to always follow You and to understand the Bible, spend more time in Your presence and to become more and more like You! In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.

JESUS GLORIFIED FATHER GOD IN ALL HE DID, FULFILLING WHAT GOD SENT HIM TO DO
- “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.” - John 17:4-6
Jesus continued His prayer, saying that He glorified His Father on the earth, by doing His will. God expects the same from us. Jesus did nothing on His own, while He lived in a human body. In many verses we read that He did only what He saw His Father doing, or what His Father sent Him to do. In Acts 10:38, Peter states very clearly that God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit, did good and healed all who were oppressed, for God was with Him.
Jesus was ready to return to His original glory. That is a glory that He always had and will continue to have forever. Jesus did not pray for God to give it to Him, instead Jesus said: “the glory which I had with You before the world was.” The Lord had identified His own personality in God, from the beginning of His prayer, but He was and is always one with His Father and the Holy Spirit. He was ready to go back to the original relationship of glory in God’s trinity, that was suspended while He walked on earth to save us.
Jesus Christ manifested Father God's Name as He revealed God’s very self to the people given to Him. The disciples belonged to God and He gave them to His Son as they gave themselves to Jesus, obeying the Scriptures. We are also to keep God’s Word on a daily basis, in order to belong to Him and Jesus Christ.
Suggested prayer: My beloved Lord, You left the heavenly glory to come in a human body to save me and the whole world! You came from a place of perfect beauty and purity, to live in a sinful, messy world, because of Your love for me and all mankind! I can never thank You enough for Your sacrifice! Please help me keep Your Word every day and always to seek to please You and give You all the glory and praise You deserve! Thank You for everything, with all my heart! Amen.

JESUS IMPARTED TO THE DISCIPLES WHAT HE RECEIVED FROM FATHER GOD
- “Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.” - John 17:7-8
After spending more than three years with the Lord, the disciples finally understood that all that Jesus gave and told them truly came from God. It was not easy to be around Jesus in human form and see Him live life as a human being. Even if Jesus was perfect in all He did, He proved to them that He knew their thoughts and feelings and He performed so many miracles, it was still very hard for the disciples to believe that their Teacher was God, the Messiah, the Son of God, the One awaited by the Jews for so long. Even if the Holy Spirit was not yet living in them, eventually they finally believed who Jesus was. All the lessons that Jesus taught to the disciples (and to us too, through the Bible), were the full manifestation of who the Father was, is and will be forever.
When we truly believe that God sent Jesus and all He did was God’s will, we cannot do anything else but obey God. As a result, we start to benefit of all the blessings that come with the state of being God’s children.
Suggested prayer: Thank You Father for sending Your Son into this world, to teach us how to live right, by being the perfect example. Please help me to walk in Jesus’ footprints and do it all as unto You Father, glorifying Your holy Name. Dear Jesus, please help me receive all Your teachings, advice and direction, following You step by step. Glory and honor to You forever. Amen.

OUR LORD JESUS PRAYS FOR US
Our Lord was praying for the ones that God gave Him. Who are those? From Jesus’ prayer, we learn that they are those whom He had taught, have received the truth, who were to remain in the world and “… those who will believe in Him through their word” (John 17:20) and those are us.
Before the Father gave us to His Son, we belonged to Him, but then, Jesus gave us back to His Father and at the same time we belong to both of them, as they are one. In the next verse, Jesus says that all that are His, are the Father’s too and all of the Father’s are His also. As long as we live for Jesus, He and the Father will be glorified in us.
When Jesus calls us His sheep, He emphasizes again that we are in His hand and in the Father’s hand at the same time, as He and the Father are one, as we read in John 10:28-30: “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”
Suggested prayer: Dear Lord, knowing that I am Yours makes my heart sing with joy. But knowing that I belong to the Father at the same time, and that I am protected and hold by both Your hands makes me even happier! I know that even in hard times, when it seems that You are nowhere close, based on Your Word, I can know that I am still in Your hand and my deliverance and victory will come! Thank You dear Lord and please help me to always shine for You and You to be glorified in me! Amen.
- “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them.” - John 17:9-10

WE ARE PROTECTED BY OUR LORD SO THAT WE MAY HAVE HIS FULL JOY
- “Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.” - John 17:11-13
Jesus was praying shortly before His arrest for crucifixion. He was asking His Father to protect His disciples, as He knew that after His death and until they would be baptized with the Holy Spirit, it would be a dark and dangerous time for them. There is power in unity and Jesus commits His spiritual children to His Father and asks Him to keep them in a holy union.
The Lord protected them all, except Judas, the son of perdition, to fulfill the prophecy from Psalms 41:9. The Good Shepherd watched over His flock and He did a great job. Only Judas who was not truly one of the flock, was lost by his own actions and will.
Jesus was ready to leave the world and return to His Father. As His joy came from the strong and continuous relationship He had with His Father, Jesus desired the same relationship of pure joy for His disciples with Father God. This is true for us too. This joy that comes from a sincere and strong relationship with God is deep and long lasting. This deep joy helps us to make it trough the hardships of life, especially when everything crumbles around us.
Suggested prayer: Father God, thank You so much for all Your protection and care. Praise You for keeping me in the palm of Your hand, and for the assurance of Your love that never fails. In You I find my strength, my peace and a deeper joy than I could have ever imagined. Please help me never forget that You will never let me go and no one can snatch me out of Your hand, as long as I want to stay there. There is no better option, than remaining in You and You in me! Glory, honor and praises to Your holy Name! Amen.

THROUGH JESUS WE BELONG TO GOD AND ARE NOT OF THE WORLD ANYMORE
- "I have given them Your Word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.” - John 17:14-16
The Lord’s prayer, as High Priest for all of us who follow Him, is also prophetic. He was asking His Father, ahead of time to protect His disciples from the snares, lies and temptations of the evil one, during persecutions and hardships. Jesus was speaking at other times, about the hate of the worldly people against God’s children. Those who live in sin, like and appreciate those who are like them. They cannot be around God’s children, because the darkness in them cannot stand the light in the righteous ones. Jesus did not pray for persecutions to be removed from our path, but that God will not allow us to be tempted beyond the strength we have to resist them.
We cannot mingle with the world, do what they do, go where they go, continue to have fellowship with them, if we want to follow Jesus. The Lord has nothing in common with the world, as the world belongs to Satan, since Adam and Eve fell into sin. When Jesus is our true Lord, we follow Him, do our best to obey Him and our goal is to become more like Jesus, with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Suggested prayer: Thank You so much dear Lord that the more real You become to me, the less I desire the things or fellowship of the world. The peace, joy and comfort that I find in Your presence, I never had without You. I know that my character develops while going through hard times, so please help me keep the right heart and attitude while going through pain and suffering and help me use the spiritual weapons You have provided me with, so that I may walk in the victory that Jesus has already won for me. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.

THE TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD SANCTIFIES US, SEPARATING US FROM THE WORLD
- “Sanctify them by Your truth [set them apart for Your purposes, make them holy]. Your word is truth. Just as You commissioned and sent Me into the world, I also have commissioned and sent them (believers) into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself [to do Your will], that they also may be sanctified [set apart, dedicated, made holy] in [Your] truth.” - John 17:17-19 (AMP)
Jesus is asking His Father to consecrate and separate the believers in Him, from the evil of the world, as we received His Word and are transformed by it. As Jesus was sent by the Father with the holy task to redeem us, we are also sent by Jesus to continue His ministry and spread the Gospel to all mankind.
Jesus accomplished God’s will in full, as He was, is and will always be holy! We are called to be sanctified, set apart, dedicated and made holy by knowing and obeying God’s truth, which is also His will that we find in His Word. By doing God’s will, as Jesus did, we may be sanctified in God’s truth, which means to be made holy, set apart and dedicated for the Lord.
Suggested prayer: Thank You dear Lord Jesus for all You have done for me. Thank You for asking the Father to set me apart for His purposes and make me holy. I can never be holy on my own, apart from You. But as long as I remain in You, I have Your righteousness and I am made holy by my faith in You. Please help me to accomplish the commission You have for me, to live a holy life that can be a good testimony for those around me and to tell people about You and disciple those that are willing to know more about You. Dear Holy Spirit please anoint and help me to be a good witness for Jesus. Thank You so very much, in the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.

JESUS PRAYS FOR THE UNITY BETWEEN CHRISTIANS OF ALL AGES
- “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” - John 17:20-21
Jesus concludes the list of His requests to His Father, with a great statement in our favor. He also prayed, for the generations of believers that were to come, to know Him after hearing the Gospel. All generations after the apostles, including us and the future ones, are part of them and all that Jesus prayed to the Father, is for us too. What a blessing and a privilege to have the Son of God praying for us, before we were even born.
Since Jesus rose from the dead and went back to heaven, He is sitting at the Father’s right hand, and making intercession for us (Romans 8:34). God’s will for us is to make it to heaven. The Lord wants us to have success and live blessed lives in obedience to Him, until the end. He wants us, as His church, to love each other and be in unity with one another and with Him, so that those around us can see Jesus in us and believe that He is the Son of God.
Suggested prayer: Thank You Lord for all You did for me. I am so blessed to know that Your will for me is to make it, to remain true to You and live for Your glory. Please help me to always shine for You and for people to see You in me. Please fill me with Your love so that I may love others too. Please help me be in unity with Your other children and together to work for the growth of Your Kingdom. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.

THE HOLY SPIRIT UNIFIES US AND FILL US WITH GOD’S LOVE
- “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” - John 17:22-24
Our Lord prayed such a powerful and perfect prayer for us, as our perfect High Priest. He loves us so much, that in order for us to be shaped and changed into becoming more like Him and make it to heaven, He has to allow us to suffer at certain times, even if it means He suffers with us. There is so much that needs to be changed in us, as the wickedness of this world and those around us have influenced our way of thinking and character.
Our Lord referred to the glory that He was to receive after His sacrifice, as it was already given to Him, because He knew the future (nothing has ever been hidden from Him). Jesus’ glory is also for us, who love Him, as now we are seated in Him in the heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6) and are joint heirs with Jesus.
Jesus desires so much that all of us, His church, to be truly one having a holy unity in Him, that He emphasizes this again and again. In true unity, God’s love may shine to perfection and will bring the attention of the world. Jesus said that God loves us the same as He loved Him. Jesus wants us to be with Him and see His true glory that He received from Father God, who loved His Son before the beginning of the world!
Suggested prayer: How can I ever thank You enough Father God, for loving me as You love Jesus! Dear Jesus, knowing that You pray for me to spend eternity with You, strengthens me to go further and overcome the hardships of life. Lord, please help us, Your church, to be truly one in perfect unity and reflect Your love to the world. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.

BY KNOWING GOD'S NAME, WE CAN BE FILLED WITH THE SAME LOVE THAT FATHER GOD HAS FOR JESUS
Our Lord concludes His prayer for us by emphasizing the righteousness of His Father, that is in such opposition to this sinful world. That is why the world could not know Him. As oil and water do not mix, neither can righteousness and sin. Even a little light puts out the deepest darkness. The more we allow the light of Jesus to shine through us, the less darkness we will have around us. This means that more people will come to Jesus and those who reject Jesus will avoid us.
We belong to God if we believe that He sent Jesus, His Son, to save the world. Jesus shared who the Father is, and the meaning of His Names show us His character and attributes. The more we get to know God, the more we may receive the love with which God loves Jesus. When we have God’s love in us, we also have Jesus.
Suggested prayer: Thank You Lord for revealing Yourself to me! I am so blessed and honored to be Your child! Please help me understand and receive more of Your love so that I may be filled with it. Thank You Father for loving me with the same love that You love Jesus with! I want to remain in You dear Jesus and You in me, every day of my life, so please give me the strength to do it! Glory and honor to Your Holy Name, amen.
- “O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” - John 17:25-26

THE LORD DELIVERS US FROM TROUBLES, SETS US FREE AND BLESSES US
- He (God) delivers the poor in their affliction, and opens their ears in oppression. Indeed He would have brought you out of dire distress, into a broad place where there is no restraint; and what is set on your table would be full of richness. - Job 36:15-16
Elihu, the youngest of Job’s friends seems to be the wisest too. He was pointing out that God uses the affliction and oppression that the devil brings in our lives, for our good, to get us to hear the Lord better, realizing how much we need Him and what we need to change.
He was right in the following statement too. God truly delivered Job out of his distress into an even broader place than he was before his tribulations and blessed him way more than he was blessed before.
No matter how hard the enemy tries to destroy us, as long as we remain faithful to our Lord, He will increase our anointing during hardships, so that we may overcome them and He will bless us even more, once they are gone. Our Lord’s blessings are as generous as tasty foods on a banquet table. It all works out easier and even our food tastes better while we keep a happy and thankful heart!
Suggested prayer: Thank You dear Lord for using for my benefit in the long term, what the enemy intends for my destruction. You always delivered me from all hardships and taught me such valuable lessons, which I could not learn any other way. In You I am never in a narrow place for a long time, because as long as I keep trusting You, I find the way out and You give me the best solution for every situation. In You I have true freedom and Your blessings are beyond my imagination. Thank You and praise You for ever and ever, amen.

WE HAVE NO FEAR WHEN WE KNOW THAT GOD STRENGTHENS, HELPS AND PROTECTS US
When we truly know that God is with us, we should not be afraid of anything. We should not worry about anything either, because our Lord God is more than able to provide for us, help us and see us through all the hardships of life. Even if the worldwide economy collapses, God’s economy is never in crisis! He is the source of all good and His resources never come to an end.
Our Lord tells us that He will give us all the strength we need when we need it. Even when it seems that there is no way, God always makes a way for us. How awesome it is that the Lord promises to always uphold us with His powerful right hand! The Lord repeats the same promise to make sure that we understand and grasp it. God truly does not want us to be fearful and wants us to understand that as a father holds his little child by his right hand, He does the same with us. We can overcome every hard situation, by being confident that God holds our hand and sees us through.
Suggested prayer: Dear Father, I am so encouraged by the fact that You hold my hand and are with me, no matter what I have to go through. When fear tries to come into my heart, please help me remember that I am not alone, that You give me all the strength and help I need while holding me with Your powerful hand. Thank You for being always there for me! Praises and glory to Your Holy Name for never letting me go, amen!
- “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand... For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” - Isaiah 41:10, 13
When we truly know that God is with us, we should not be afraid of anything. We should not worry about anything either, because our Lord God is more than able to provide for us, help us and see us through all the hardships of life. NOTHING GOOD COMES FROM BEING WORRIED OR ANXIOUS
- “So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.” - Matthew 6:34 (AMP Classic Edition)
Our Lord pointed out something very important in the above verse. Jesus says that worry will never diminish true problems. The positive effect produced by all our worries is zero. But the negative effects of worrying may cost us a lot. Whenever we choose to worry on a daily basis, we get sick and lack faith. The level of our health and faith are directly related to the level of our doubt and worries.
To worry, means to be afraid of something that may never happen. To have faith, means to trust and expect something good and by believing for it, God can make it happen. Every day has its own set of problems that we may worry or be anxious about. It is up to us to choose to trust God to make something good to come out of a bad situation and not fall into worry and fear. We live in a fallen world, where the evil and wicked people can cause us trouble, even when they do not aim at us directly, their bad choices simply may affect us.
The more faith we have, the less we worry and the clearer we may hear God’s advice about how to handle the situation and find our way out.
Suggested prayer: Thank You Lord Jesus for this wonderful piece of advice! My life is so much better since I have learned that worrying does no good and solves no problems, instead it may cause me headaches, heart problems and so much more. Dear Father, please help me remember to always choose to trust You and pay attention to Your directions. Thank You Holy Spirit for all Your help and support, no matter what I am going through! You truly are the perfect Helper! In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.

EVEN IF A MOTHER CAN FORGET HER CHILD, GOD NEVER FORGETS US
- “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.” - Isaiah 49:15
We all know that the normal bond between a mother and her nursing child is the strongest. God created it this way, so the mother may be able to raise the baby while the little one demands the mother’s help around the clock for everything.
There are so many mothers that went through so much for their children out of love. Father God is telling us that even if a mother may forget her child, He will not forget you or I. We are so blessed to be remembered by God!
The love of God for His chosen ones is more tender, perfect and unchangeable than a father’s love for his child and even than a mother’s love for her nursing baby! We have to remember that God’s love is not altered by living in a depraved world, as a parent’s love is. Usually God’s love is presented as a father’s love, but here it is raised to a higher standard and actually His love is greater than this one too. This is comforting, praise God!
Suggested prayer: Dear Father, You are so loving and merciful! You knew how much I and so many other children of Yours, would need to know the greatness of Your love for us and what better comparison could be used but of a mother’s love for her nursing child? I am so blessed to know that You will never forget me and Your love is always there for me! I am Your creation, Your child and I have value in Your eyes and a special place in Your heart, as every human does. Thank You Lord so very much! Please help me never forget how much You love me and teach me how to walk in Your will, every day! In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.

JESUS SUFFERED EXTREME PAIN FOR THE JOY TO HAVE US SAVED
- Yet the Lord was willing to crush Him, causing Him to suffer; if He would give Himself as a guilt offering [an atonement for sin], He shall see His [spiritual] offspring, He shall prolong His days, and the will (good pleasure) of the Lord shall succeed and prosper in His hand. - Isaiah 53:10
The Lord is telling us through Isaiah, that the sufferings of His Son were not a mistake or caused by the wickedness of His persecutors, but the Father was “willing to crush Him” and have Him suffer. Jesus accepted to suffer and be a sacrifice for us. Our Lord was able to go through the torment of the cross, because He focused on the final result, as we read in Hebrews 12:2 “Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross...” We can learn from Jesus that if we focus on what God prepared for us for eternity, we may continue to trust Him for the best solution to overcome the trials of life, no matter how hard it might be.
Jesus offered Himself, once and for all, as the perfect sacrifice for the sin of mankind. He endured it all, knowing that by doing so He was preparing the way for us to be saved and spend eternity with Him. We could be adopted in God’s family because of what Jesus did for us. God’s will is to have “His own chosen people” (1 Peter 2:9) to be with Him forever. By what Jesus did, people from every nation can be saved and make it to heaven, fulfilling the Father’s will.
Suggested prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You with all my heart for all Your sacrifice and for dying in my place, paying for my sins. You love me that much! Please help me to focus on what You have prepared for me for eternity, to be able to go through the trials of life victoriously, as You focused on the joy of having us all saved, enduring the torment of the cross, in a human body. All praises and glory to Your holy Name, forever, amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER, PRAISE AND WORSHIP
- Is anyone among you afflicted (ill-treated, suffering evil)? He should pray. Is anyone glad at heart? He should sing praise [to God]. - James 5:13
This might seem simple, but this is how our life should be with our Lord, simple. Trusting God for all we need is the key that keeps things simple. We are not to complicate our lives by trying to figure it all out and make things happen. We need to learn to depend upon our Lord and when sickness or other suffering or pain affects us or our dear ones, the best solution is to come to our Lord, telling Him in prayer what our need is. At times, the Holy Spirit may guide us to use the authority we have in the Name of Jesus and resist the devil, to overcome a sickness or an evil attack (You may read more on the subject in the article “The Authority of the believer”).
When we are happy and joyful, a praise song is not far away! Some of us prefer to sing out loud, others in their hearts, alone or as they listen their favorite worship songs. It doesn’t matter how we do it, as long as we sincerely praise our Lord.
Even when we are sad, worshiping and praising God is the best way to overcome sadness and despair. When we worship the Lord, we focus on Him and it is easier to let go of what bothers us and we take hold of our thoughts and emotions, trusting God for solving our issues!
Suggested prayer: Thank You Lord for all the spiritual weapons You have given me! In prayer I can give it all to You, and by praising and trusting You, I allow You to work in my behalf. I can find peace and rest in You, while You work for me. Help me to choose to sing praises to You when I am happy and when I am sad. When I enter into Your presence, sadness cannot stay, despair has to go and fear has no place in a thankful heart full of praises. Thank You Jesus for the authority I have in Your Name as long as I keep a pure heart and live for You. Thank You and praise You for everything, in the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.
